David Meissner has written articles, newsletters, web content, and educational materials for children, parents, and educators. He has also written 20 educational children’s books, both fiction and nonfiction, for publishers Wright Group/McGraw-Hill, Reading A-Z, Benchmark Education, and Zaner-Bloser. Below are two examples of David’s published works for children.

In April 2005 Highlights for Children magazine published David’s nonfiction article
about a day in the life of an Andean village. “High in the Mountains of Ecuador”
was named the “2005 Photo-Essay of the Year” by Highlights.

Dr. Faucet and the Case of the Missing Drops teaches second graders about
the water cycle through a fictional story. This book was commissioned by Trillium Publishing
on behalf of Wright Group/McGraw-Hill for its Gear Up! reading series.
