For the Reading Rockets early literacy project, David developed, named, and co-authored this award-winning bilingual web site that offers information, advice, and activities for Spanish-speaking parents and educators of English language learners. In addition to coordinating translations for the parent section of ¡Colorín Colorado!, David worked closely with top national researchers and the American Federation of Teachers to develop, write, and edit a comprehensive section for educators. |

For WETA, the local PBS television station in Washington D.C., David has interviewed 50 renowned children’s book authors and illustrators, including Marc Brown, Joanna Cole, Lois Lowry, R.L. Stine, and Chris Van Allsburg. In addition to conducting interviews for these television/web features, David hires and directs camera crews, edits video footage, and writes short author biographies. |

Too Good to Throw Away! is a three-part recycling education program designed for first through fifth grade learners. It includes a pre-visit activity, an interactive 45-minute classroom presentation, and two post-visit activities. David conceptualized and participated in the development of this City of Tucson program, which now reaches thousands of elementary school students on an annual basis. |
